The last weekend in July I was at a great show produced by the Glenview Art League. This was the show's 70th year, producers know what they're doing and took very good care of us all weekend.
85 artists set up their tents on the shady lawn of Lyons Elementary School. There was food and children's art activities too. Crowds of educated art-loving folks were present all weekend. I sold a number of original 2-D torn paper pieces, prints from my Door County series, and BONUS, my work was awarded this beautiful fluffy ribbon. One of my favorite parts of doing art shows is talking and listening to all the folks who come into my booth - and want to engage. There were many of you this weekend. Thank you for sharing your stories and thoughts with me. thank you also for believing in me and my work, and buying original art from me. It means more that you'll ever know.
